Traveling From The Airport
The San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) is less than five miles from downtown San Jose. Grab your luggage from baggage claim and head outside to pick up a cab or car service. You’ll be at the Convention Center in under ten minutes if traffic is light. SJC is a highly convenient airport, serving nearly 4 million people and averaging 170+ flights every day, so there’s a great chance you’ll be able to fly directly into San Jose. Get more info about the San Jose airport here.
Flying into San Francisco or Oakland instead? These international airports are both under 40 minutes from downtown San Jose by car.
Traveling By Caltrain
If you’re heading down from San Francisco, the Caltrain is a quick, affordable option! It directly links the two cities so you don’t have to transfer. If you’re coming from Oakland, there’s a few more steps, but it’s still pretty simple:
- Regular route: Take the Bart to Millbrae and then pick up the Caltrain to San Jose
- Shorter route: Take the Bart to Fremont, and then grab a cab, bus, or car service to San Jose
